This will be a similar presentation to ones I've done before, where I provide an overview of the theory and framework from Conscious Discipline. Conscious Discipline is a comprehensive, trauma-informed self-regulation program that integrates Social Emotional Learning, School and Classroom Culture, and Restorative Discipline. It’s truly unique in that it provides teachers and all student-facing staff with concrete and practical skills and strategies to systematically develop an SEL ecosystem, completely embedding SEL into their classrooms and school while simultaneously addressing the social and emotional needs of the teachers themselves. In addition to providing some baseline theory and opportunities to reflect on our perceptions of student behaviors, I'll also incorporate activities and experiences that teachers can integrate into their own practice.
